About Us R & D Woodworking is a hobby turned business. It is owned and operated by Ron & Debbie Wentworth of Hampden, Maine. We enjoy working with these beautiful domestic and exotic woods and this web store provides us the opportunity to share our products with the world.
We do have our products in some shops, sell at craft fairs in Maine during the summer and in Florida during the winter. We enjoy meeting the people that purchase our items and answering questions they might have.
Today, people are looking for homemade items without the ‘bells & whistles’ for both young and old. We are proud to be part of that change.
Each product is made by us, one by one, not mass produced. We make the products, do the photography for the web store and do the packaging and shipping ourselves.
We put each item into a gift box when available. There are a few items, like the Dice Game, that won't be in a gift box.
Being handmade gives each item a character of it’s own. Nothing says ‘real’ like wood. The exotic and domestic woods we work with make beautiful items and create great unique gifts.
We have items that are great; for collecting, for use during everyday activities, as conversation pieces on the coffee table or desk, for helping our young perfect their math skills and as household decorations. We feel we have "Something for Everyone".
